From Evidence to Impact - Transforming Metabolic Health for all
A worldwide alliance advancing metabolic health through evidence-based standards, national action, and leadership development.
The Global Metabolic Health Alliance (GMHA)
The Global Metabolic Health Alliance (GMHA) is a collaborative global platform advancing integrated, population-level action on metabolic health.
GMHA brings together leaders in metabolic science, medicine, public health policy, and technological innovation to translate scientific evidence into global standards, country-adapted implementation, and scalable solutions that strengthen health systems and improve outcomes at scale.
Recognising that the central challenge is not a lack of knowledge, but the absence of integrated, practical, and measurable pathways within real-world health systems, GMHA focuses on implementation across the full metabolic disease continuum—from prevention and early detection to comprehensive care. This work is advanced through collaboration with governments, health systems, professional societies, and innovators.
The Global Metabolic Burden
The World Is Facing a Metabolic Crisis
Metabolic diseases are among the fastest-growing global health challenges—placing immense pressure on individuals, families, and health systems. GMHA provides the tools and frameworks needed to reverse these trends.
- 1 in 8 adults is living with diabetes
- 1 in 5 deaths globally are linked to poor metabolic health
- Obesity rates have tripled since 1975
