Advancing AI for Population and Metabolic Health

The Global Metabolic Health Alliance (GMHA) invites applications for innovative AI-enabled interventions designed to improve health at the population level.

Through the GMHA Digital Health & AI Council, we aim to identify practical, scalable approaches that use artificial intelligence and digital technologies to address major challenges across diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and broader metabolic health.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome initiatives that demonstrate how AI can move beyond individual tools to create measurable population-level impact, including areas such as:

  • Prevention and early identification of metabolic disease
  • Population risk stratification and targeted interventions
  • Improving access to screening and care
  • Clinical and public-health decision support
  • Patient engagement and self-management at scale
  • Health-system efficiency and connected care
  • Reducing inequities in access and outcomes
  • Population surveillance, data intelligence and predictive analytics

Projects may be established interventions, pilots, implementation models or promising solutions ready for wider evaluation or scale-up.

Who Should Apply?

Applications are welcomed from healthcare professionals, researchers, public-health teams, health systems, technology innovators, academic institutions, start-ups and multidisciplinary collaborations working at the intersection of AI, digital health and population health.

Why Apply?

Selected initiatives will have opportunities to engage with the GMHA Digital Health & AI community, connect with international experts and collaborators, and contribute to discussions on how responsible AI can generate meaningful impact in real-world health systems.
